A Plague Tale Legacy Echo's Return: What the Skill Does
How to approach Echo's Return in A Plague Tale Legacy, with a careful skill-testing route and no invented chapter or damage values.
Updated · Steam community reports
Echo’s Return is one of the named mastery skills in A Plague Tale Legacy. The useful way to learn it is to test the skill in a controlled encounter and record what the game actually shows, rather than copying a numerical effect from a launch-week rumor.
A safe test routine
Save before a combat encounter, use Echo’s Return once, and observe the target, the player state and the follow-up window. Repeat with the same enemy type if possible. Note whether the action changes positioning, detection, damage, control or escape options. Those observations are more useful than a tier label that does not name a build.
When to spend around it
Do not build the entire run around Echo’s Return until you know that it solves your problem. If the current section is stealth-heavy, compare the skill with a quiet route. If the section is a direct fight, check whether the action leaves enough time to reposition. The six mastery branches give room for different solutions.
This page intentionally does not claim an exact multiplier, cooldown or hidden unlock chapter. Use the mastery branches guide for the wider skill plan and the combat guide for encounter fundamentals.
